What You'll Do
- Support individuals with daily activities, household chores, and community outings
- Assist with personal care as needed
- Help individuals get to and follow through on medical appointments and treatment plans
- Support healthy habits through meal planning and preparation
- Encourage independence by coaching self-advocacy and adaptive living skills
- Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral challenges, using approved techniques when needed
- Keep clear, accurate daily documentation of care and support provided
- Build genuine, respectful relationships with the individuals you support and their families
What We're Looking For
- Compassion, patience, and a professional, respectful approach
- Strong communication skills and dependability
- Comfort using computers for documentation
- Good judgment and attention to detail
- Must be 18+ with a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a DHS background study
- Prior caregiving experience a plus, but not required, we'll train the right person
