The City of Bryan is accepting applications for IT Systems Analyst. This role is responsible for analyzing department needs, configuring and supporting business applications, troubleshooting complex issues, coordinating with vendors and technical teams, and providing training and support to end users.
Hiring Pay Rate;
$55,000-$85,000/year (depending on qualifications & certification)
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes, configures, tests, implements, and supports Information Technology systems.
- Collaborates with end-users to identify their information needs and translate them into clear system requirements.
- Assists in managing the security of application software and proactively mitigates security risks.
- Works closely with technical staff and vendors to coordinate projects, resolve development and maintenance issues, and perform application tuning and optimization.
- Anticipates, analyzes, and resolves complex system problems by developing effective solutions and alternatives.
- Provides 24/7 on-call support on a rotating basis and responds to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study plus at least 2 years of related experience; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study plus at least 4 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of related education, experience, certification, and training may also be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study plus at least two (2) years of related experience; or an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study plus at least four (4) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of related education, experience, certification, and training may also be considered.
- Additional certifications such as Microsoft Azure certifications (Fundamentals, Associate, Expert) and/or CompTIA (A+, Network+, Project+, Security+, DataSys) are a plus.
Must possess working experience with the following:
- Windows and Windows Server
- Maintaining applications in support of customer-oriented organizations
- Supporting and configuring packaged software applications
- Supporting and administering Microsoft Azure services in an enterprise environment, including Azure resource management, storage accounts, role-based access control, monitoring, and basic cloud service troubleshooting
