Trusted Home Care is seeking an experienced, compassionate Michigan Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Contract RN Consultant. This position provides clinical support and education to our caregiving team and fulfills Registered Nurse requirements for our Valley Area Agency on Aging provider contract.
This position does not involve direct patient care, case management, or routine on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quarterly in-person caregiver training sessions (approximately four trainings per year, 1–2 hours each).
- Educate approximately 30–40 caregivers on topics such as infection control, emergency preparedness, documentation, professionalism, client safety, dementia care, HIPAA, and other home care best practices
- .Maintain an active, unrestricted Michigan RN license on file to meet Valley Area Agency on Aging (VAAA) provider requirements.
Training Location
Quarterly trainings will be conducted at the Flint Public Library in Genesee County, Michigan.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Home care, hospice, long-term care, community health, nurse education, or case management experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently as a contracted (1099) provider.
- Dependable, organized, and passionate about educating caregivers.
Compensation
This contract position includes:
$2,000 annual retainer for maintaining RN oversight and licensure requirements.
$150 per hour for all scheduled trainings and additional consulting, with a 2-hour minimum per training session.
- Any additional requested meetings, policy reviews, or clinical consultation will be compensated at $150 per hour.
Pay: $150.00 per hour
