Position Description: Wize Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated .NET Developer to join our dynamic software development team in Abingdon, Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing web, desktop, and mobile applications using the .NET framework, along with true full stack capability across the front end, back end, database, and deployment pipeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
Clearance & Eligibility

Job Duties
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand software requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy web, desktop, and mobile applications using the .NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, and related technologies.
- Design and implement relational database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server creating and altering tables, defining keys, constraints, and relationships, and writing stored procedures, views, and functions.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and release processes.
- Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Optimize applications and database queries for maximum performance and scalability.
- Integrate third-party libraries, APIs, and tools as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in the .NET ecosystem and apply new technologies to enhance our software offerings.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers as needed.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer, with a strong portfolio of past projects.
- Proficiency in C# and the .NET framework
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Microsoft SQL Server Deep Expertise Required
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, not just the ability to query an existing database.
- Ability to design a schema from the ground up: creating and altering tables, selecting appropriate data types, and defining primary keys, foreign keys, constraints, and relationships.
- Strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, user-defined functions, triggers, and complex multi-table joins.
- Solid grasp of normalization, indexing strategies, execution plans, and query performance tuning.
- Experience with database migrations, versioning, and data integrity in a production environment.
- Working knowledge of Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core is a plus.
Mobile Application Development
- Demonstrated experience building and shipping mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Hands-on experience with a cross-platform framework such as .NET MAUI, Xamarin, React Native, or Flutter (.NET MAUI or Xamarin strongly preferred).
- Understanding of mobile-specific concerns: responsive layouts, offline data storage and sync, push notifications, device permissions, and app store / enterprise distribution processes.
CI/CD & DevOps — Deep Knowledge Required
- Deep, practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including building and maintaining them not simply using pipelines someone else configured.
