As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Receiving Clerk who is responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, operating forklifts and material-handling equipment, and ensuring all warehouse activities meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. The successful candidate in the role requires safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment, along with strong computer and organizational skills.
Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama
What You’ll Do
- Receive inbound materials, parts, and supplies from vendors and carriers.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and quality compliance.
- Verify purchase orders, packing slips, and quantities.
- Enter received materials into inventory system (ERP/WMS).
- Stock materials in proper warehouse locations using forklift equipment.
- Perform regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and adjustments.
- Maintain clean and organized storage areas, racks, and shipping lanes.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Use handheld RF scanners or ERP systems for tracking inventory movements.
What You’ll Need to Excel in This Role
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience and/or certification required (or ability to certify upon hire).
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems (such as SAP, Epicor, Oracle, JDE or similar).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data entry.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse work.

Intermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments
Ability to regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
