Overview:
This position develops and executes category strategies, execution, and leads the day-to-day performance of a defined portfolio of direct and indirect spend categories, including Equipment, Parts & Consumables, Transportation & Logistics, Information Technology, Professional & Outside Services, Facilities & Office Management, and Travel & Expense. This role is accountable for translating CSC business priorities across Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and Field Service into measurable cost, quality, risk, and value outcomes.
The Senior Manager partners closely with senior functional leaders, provides direction and guidance to sourcing analysts and team members, and serves as the primary liaison to strategic suppliers and third-party sourcing partners.
This role operates with functional authority over its assigned category portfolio, and executes against sourcing roadmaps established in partnership with the Director of Strategic Sourcing and business leadership, and builds credibility through delivery consistency, category and market expertise, and strong cross-functional relationships.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Category Strategy & Sourcing Execution
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including the design and execution of RFI/RFP/RFQ events, reverse auctions, and other competitive bid processes.
Drive measurable Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reductions, cost avoidance, working-capital improvements, and other value-creation outcomes.
Supplier & Relationship Management
Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance reviews, scorecards, SLAs, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).

Identify, assess, and mitigate supplier, category, and supply-continuity risks.
Governance, Operations & P2P

Support and promote sourcing governance, procurement policy, compliance, and best practices across the CSC network.

Support the administration and continuous improvement of CSC’s Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform, driving process standardization, adoption, and efficiency.

Design and maintain robust metrics, SLAs, and reporting — including spend, savings/cost avoidance, contract adherence, and compliance.
Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership

Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT, Operations) to identify opportunities and drive results.

Develop and present business cases, sourcing recommendations, and results to senior leadership.

Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, complexity-reduction efforts, and special projects.

Champion a continuous-improvement culture and LEAN mindset across sourcing processes and tools.

Provide coaching, work direction, and development support to sourcing analysts and other team members.

What we’re looking for:
Required Education & Experience:
Strong understanding of category management, strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier relationship management, and Total Cost of Ownership
Strong analytical, financial-modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable recommendations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, e-sourcing/eRFx and contract-lifecycle (CLM) tools, and ERP/P2P systems (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or comparable).
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, finance, or business administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
