Route Driver Needed: We are looking for a full time Monday-Friday candidate for immediate hire. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record and be able to lift 50lbs+. Job requires strong customer service skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, excellent communication skills, speak English, be punctual and reliable.
Driver's Main Responsibilities:
- Pick-up/Delivery to our retail customers homes.
- Pick-up/Delivery to Dry Cleaners in the Santa Clara County, up to Redwood City, Hayward, to Gilroy, Hollister area on a scheduled route day.
- Post all work daily and prepare next day’s deliveries.
- Supports the warehouse and helps the customers (in-house & on the phone) "when not driving".
- Develops and maintains a positive, professional image for De Luxe Dye Works & Area Rug Cleaners at all times.
- Practice good grooming and personal hygiene habits etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to properly manage individual route to ensure each customer accurately receives all area rugs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with peers & the Dry Cleaners (employees & owners) in a professional manner.
- Ability to maintain calm under pressure.Self-motivated, detail oriented, flexible and dependable with a strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
