Job Description
Entry level lube oil technicians are responsible for completing multi point inspections on all vehicles. Lube oil technicians must have the ability to test and install batteries, maintenance vehicles as needed, dismount and mount tires and wheels, balance wheels and install TPMS sensors and components while using shop equipment. This position will also include performing alignments as needed. Ability to perform basic alignment principles such as inspecting for tire wear, inspecting suspension components and adjusting camber, caster, toe and thrust angle where adjustments are needed.
- Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs and test drive prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
- Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed while providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Job Requirements/Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive industry (dealership experience preferred)
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
Lube oil technician must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in the use of common mechanical tools
Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of the position
