Maintenance Engineer (Residence Inn Waynesboro)
Location: Residence Inn Waynesboro
Schedule: Varies — mid shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
On-Call: After-hours on-call as needed
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to help keep things running smoothly around the hotel. If you’re good at fixing things, staying organized, and don’t mind a flexible schedule, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll do:
- Handle basic repairs in guest rooms and common areas
- Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
- Respond to maintenance requests as they come up
- Keep the hotel in compliance with general inspections
- Track and complete preventive maintenance tasks and paperwork
- Order supplies and maintain inventory
- Communicate with vendors and service providers
- Submit invoices and receipts in a timely manner
- Make occasional trips to supply stores as needed
- Keep your tools and work areas organized and clean
- Basic Pool maintenance- daily chemical log
- Manage a small team consisting of housepersons and maintenance assistant
- Attend and participate in regular manager meetings
- Report to AGM and GM
- Work alongside maintenance assistant on a regular basis.
- Work alongside the regional maintenance head as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Some experience with general maintenance (hotel experience is a plus) including HVAC, appliance knowledge, and plumbing.
- Able to work independently and stay organized.
- Comfortable handling both hands-on work and basic paperwork.
- Good communication skills when working with vendors.
- Dependable and responsive, especially when on call.
- Comfortable with a flexible schedule.
- Available for mid shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call after hours as needed
