Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status and needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following established protocols and safety standards
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as suturing, spinal taps, catheterizations, and sonography as needed
- Manage acute pain cases, provide triage services, and coordinate urgent care interventions in outpatient or inpatient settings
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records
- Engage in clinical research projects related to gastroenterology, infectious disease care, or behavioral health to advance evidence-based practices
Skills
- Extensive experience with Epic EMR systems and Athenahealth for medical documentation and patient management
- Proficiency in botulinum toxin treatments, dermal fillers, esthetic laser procedures, and other cosmetic interventions
- Strong background in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers with expertise in airway management and ventilator use
- Knowledge of ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding for procedures, and utilization review processes
- Skilled in working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, assisted living residents, hospice & palliative patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities
- Competent in performing laboratory specimen collection/processing, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with occupational health practices such as Workers' Compensation law compliance and triage protocols for urgent care or emergency medicine settings
- Ability to provide health coaching, discharge planning, case management, and post-acute care coordination for optimal patient outcomes
