Job Summary
Join our patient-centered healthcare team in Memphis! We use high-frequency sound waves to capture detailed images of internal organs, tissues, and blood vessels. We are looking for an experienced Ultrasound Tech dedicated to excellence in patient care. Full time schedule expected to be Mon-Friday 8am-4:40pm - Performing General Ultrasound and Breast.
Core Responsibilities:
- Perform Exams: Conduct high-quality diagnostic ultrasound scans (abdominals, pelvic, GYN, and small parts).
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for tests. Explain the procedure and ensure comfort.
- Analyze Images: Review images for clarity. Prepare preliminary findings and worksheets for the radiologist.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot ultrasound machines to ensure safety and function.
- Teamwork: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to support diagnosis.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or ARRT.
- Experience: 1-3 years of recent clinical ultrasound experience.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to soothe anxious patients.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting or moving patients and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent near vision use to examine images.
