Duties
- Set up catering stations, buffet tables, and dining areas with precision and care to ensure an attractive presentation.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including drink service and wine pouring, maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to support culinary staff during events.
- Buss tables promptly by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
- Engage with guests professionally to provide excellent guest services and address any special requests or concerns.
- Operate POS systems for order processing and billing when necessary, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards at all times.
Skills
- Prior experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly desirable.
- Strong guest relations skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food service techniques including serving, bussing, and beverage service.
- Familiarity with wine knowledge and drink service enhances guest experience.
- Ability to perform basic math for transactions and portioning tasks accurately.
- Experience with banquet setups and fine dining service is a plus.
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
