Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service during your shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth functioning.
- Train and develop staff in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the POS system effectively.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Assist in budgeting and financial management to meet operational goals.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members.
- Collaborate with the management team to implement strategies for improving service quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with various POS systems, including Aloha POS and Micros POS.
- Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Leadership skills with a focus on training & development of team members.
