Commercial Plumbing Foreman
Job Summary
Our Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to lead plumbing installations on commercial projects throughout the Indianapolis area. This is a licensed plumber role with strong leadership skills, extensive experience in commercial construction, and the ability to manage crews while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
As a Plumbing Foreman, you will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate with project managers and general contractors, interpret blueprints, organize manpower and materials, and ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead commercial plumbing crews on new construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
- Plan and oversee installation of commercial plumbing systems, including:
- Domestic water systems - Copper, CPVC, Pex, Victaulic
- Sanitary, Grease and storm drainage systems- PVC and Cast Iron
- Natural gas piping - Thread and Press
- Medical gas systems (when applicable)
- Specialty plumbing equipment - Booster Pumps, Tankless, Air Compressor
- Excavation Equipment
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
- Ensure installations meet project specifications, plumbing codes, and quality standards.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and field personnel.
- Monitor productivity and maintain accurate daily reports.
- Assist with scheduling inspections and coordinating project milestones.
- Resolve field issues quickly while minimizing project delays.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Plumbing License required
- Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading crews or serving as a foreman
- Extensive commercial new construction experience
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, OSHA regulations, and job site safety
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings
- Experience coordinating work with multiple trades
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification
- BIM, Auto Desk, or Procore experience
- Experience with design-build commercial projects
- Experience in hospitals, schools, manufacturing facilities, retail centers, multi-family construction, Dealerships, and churches
Work Environment
- Commercial new construction job sites
- Schools, Hospitals and healthcare facilities, Office buildings, Manufacturing facilities, Retail developments, Apartment and mixed-use projects
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires standing, climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces when necessary.

Work Location: Commercial construction sites throughout the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
