Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service to ensure a welcoming café atmosphere
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and seating areas
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Effective time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced café or retail environment
