As our company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our headquarters team in Kearny, New Jersey.

Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing multiple utility infrastructure projects from award through completion. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between Executive Management, department managers, project owners, utility clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.
This position plays a critical leadership role by coordinating the efforts of Customer Service, Data Management, Information Technology, Field Operations, Project Coordinators, and Lead Technicians while maintaining exceptional communication with clients and company leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously from planning through project closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, production goals, manpower plans, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, logistics, and subcontractor activities.
- Lead and support teams of Lead Technicians and field personnel across multiple active projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Executive Management and department managers to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
- Act as the primary point of contact between NMS and project owners, utility clients, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Manage subcontractor performance, scheduling, quality, safety, and contract compliance.
- Coordinate project activities between Customer Service, Data Management, IT, and Field Operations.
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, production metrics, quality standards, and overall performance.
- Identify risks and develop proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and present project status updates to Executive Management and clients.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, company policies, contractual requirements, and safety standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Project Management experience.
- Utility, infrastructure, construction, or public works experience is highly desirable.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and client relationships.
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Certifications
- CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
Project management certifications are preferred but not required.
