Duties
- Assess patients’ health conditions through comprehensive evaluations, including vital signs, physical examinations, and review of medical histories.
- Develop and implement personalized nursing care plans aligned with physicians’ orders and patient needs.
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections accurately while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication adherence, and preventive health practices such as disease prevention and chronic disease management.
- Utilize medical software and electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems to document patient interactions, medical documentation, and progress notes securely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to triage urgent issues, provide emergency care when necessary, and ensure timely communication of patient status updates.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health regulation policies and ensure all practices adhere to current standards of nursing practice and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration to practice nursing in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in acute care settings or home health environments demonstrating strong disease prevention and patient care skills.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and nursing leadership experience.
- Familiarity with medical software applications, EMR/EHR management systems, and medical records documentation.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR is required; additional certifications such as First Aid are a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, health regulation policies, and confidentiality handling procedures.
- Ability to perform triage effectively during emergencies or urgent situations requiring emergency care or acute intervention.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly while providing empathetic patient-centered care.
