We are seeking a licensed massage therapist to join our health care practice to further our mission of creating this holistic environment of healing and movement for our patients. You would be joining a team of physical therapists and personal trainers with the goal of applying your skills to apply your mobility and pain management techniques to ensure patient/client vitality and movement to support them in their exercise and wellness demands.
Duties
- Perform a variety of massage techniques to meet individual client needs.
- Communicate with both clients and coworkers to create a comprehensive massage care plan based on identified impairments, previous medical issues as applicable, and goals for care.
- Assist in client retention for recurring sessions as indicated.
- Coordinate with physical therapy and personal training regarding identified changes in health history or newly identified client complaints or reports.
- Utilize existing EMR systems to track applied treatments for consistency across sessions as well as communicate with coworkers.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure in the state of Illinois as a Massage Therapist with current certification.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with comfort in adapting treatment based on previous history of orthopedic ailments
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
- Comfort or experience working in coordination with healthcare providers to identify cross-discipline assessment of client complaints or concerns is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on demand.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
