EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position supports the review and processing of licensure applications for multiple professional boards. Your work helps ensure licensure decisions follow all laws, regulations, and policies. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

Application Review: Examine applications to assess eligibility for initial licensure, renewal, or reactivation

Data Verification: Evaluate information and required documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance

Inspection Coordination: Determine when inspections are needed, request them through the database, and review returned inspection reports

Record Management: Maintain application data, update status information, and prepare certifications, letters, and notifications

Public Communication: Provide licensure eligibility information through phone, electronic, and written correspondence

Issue Processing: Approve and issue licenses for applicants who meet all requirements and address discrepancies when criteria are not met

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% upon successful completion of the 6-month probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
