Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machinist and play a vital role in producing high-precision components that meet rigorous quality standards. Looking for someone with extensive experience in the manufacturing setting. 10-15 years experience is preferred but we will look at all applicants!
We are hiring machine operators, machinist and programmers! We are seeking skilled and motivated machinist across all 3 levels (Operator, Machinist and Programmer) as roles will change based on experience and expertise. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines such as CNC lathes and milling machines, utilizing G-code programming and Fanuc controls to produce precise parts.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to set up and adjust machining operations.
- Perform CNC programming, including editing M-code and G-code, to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control inspections.
- Conduct electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes when required for complex part fabrication.
- Read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure parts meet strict tolerances.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace by using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and tooling appropriately; support lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Assist with assembly tasks, welding, or plastics injection molding as needed to support production goals.
- Conduct quality inspections on finished parts using measurement tools and ensure adherence to specifications before release.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by participating in training on CNC programming, CAM software, and advanced machining techniques such as metal machining and CNC quality inspection.
- Monitor machining manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinist tools and equipment.
Qualifications Preferred
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mills, lathes and grinders with familiarity in CNC G-code programming and CAM programing.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and mechanical blueprints accurately.
- Skilled in using measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines for quality control purposes.
- Knowledge of CAM programming, and basic math skills relevant to machining operations.
- Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work safely following all safety protocols including forklift operation when necessary.
