Established in 1995, Steelhead Metal Corp (SMC) is a world-class full-service contract fabrication and precision machining manufacturer serving the semiconductor, commercial/industrial, medical and government sectors. Headquartered in Nampa, ID, SMC delivers products to customers world-wide from its 123,000 ft. manufacturing facility.
Paint and Powder Coat Technician Responsibilities:
- Prepare parts for industrial coating process
- Keep the flow of parts moving through the powder coat paint line
- Prepping parts for paint including plugging holes, taping, etc.
- Masking parts per production drawings
- Hangs parts with appropriate spacing utilizing correct hooks for the parts
- Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas
- Cleans and maintains paint line equipment
- Forklift Certified or Experience a plus
- Team attitude
Day Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
Wage: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
Requirements:
- Industrial Painting and/or Powder Coating Experience - 6 months minimum
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to operate hand tools & air powered tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Desired Skills:
- Powder coat experience using powder coating gun
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- Parts masking
- Industrial coating experience - wet paint. We will train you on powder coating if you have other coating experience, but not powder coating.
