Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining optimal inventory flow. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse management skills, experience with shipping and receiving procedures, and proficiency with various material handling equipment. Duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products accurately according to customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload goods efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms.
- Ensure proper stock rotation, stocking, and organization within the warehouse to facilitate quick order fulfillment.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and loading for e-commerce orders while adhering to quality standards.
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during stock movements.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with the order fulfillment team to meet delivery deadlines.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using RF scanners and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Follow safety protocols during all material handling activities to prevent accidents or damage.
Skills
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, RF scanners, and MRP software.
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures within a distribution or e-commerce setting.
- Ability to perform order picking & packing efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including stocking, load & unload operations.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and calculations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members across departments. Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
