We are seeking a skilled and motivated Wireless Telecom Field Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the on-site integration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of wireless telecom equipment, including RAN, microwave, and backhaul for Macro, Small Cells, DAS systems. You will play a critical role in deploying, maintaining, and optimizing wireless infrastructure to ensure seamless network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field integration and commissioning of wireless telecom equipment for Macro, Small Cells and DAS Network sites (e.g., 4G, 5G RAN, microwave links, routers, and switches).
- Configure and integrate base station systems (eNodeB/ gNodeB) into live networks.
- Execute test plans, software upgrades, and parameter changes in accordance with deployment guidelines.
- Conduct site acceptance testing, drive testing, Walk testing and troubleshooting of hardware/software/network issues.
- Collaborate with network engineering, project management, and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with network standards, customer specifications, and quality control processes.
- Generate detailed integration reports and maintain accurate documentation of site activities.
- Provide support for emergency site visits and network outages as needed.
- Maintain adherence to safety standards and site protocols.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in wireless field integration, DAS Commissioning or telecom deployment.
- Hands-on experience with RAN (4G LTE/5G NR) systems and IP-based telecom networks.
- Proficiency in using network testing tools (e.g., Site Master, spectrum analyzers, TEMS, XCAL).
- Familiarity with OEM equipment (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung).
- Understanding of IP networking, VLANs, routing, and Layer 2/3 protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred:
- Certifications in RF Engineering Technologies, or OEM-specific integration certifications.
- Experience with microwave and backhaul technologies.
- Knowledge of network performance monitoring and optimization tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively to field sites (up to 75%).
- Ability to climb step stools/ladders when needed, lift equipment (up to 50 lbs), and work in outdoor environments.
