An exciting opportunity is available in the Ardeshir Lab at the Tulane National Biomedical Research Center for a Laboratory Supervisor I to coordinate and execute preclinical research in microbiome-immune interactions, brain aging, and durable therapeutic development using nonhuman primate models. This position serves as the senior operational coordinator in an externally funded, multi-project research program investigating biological programming across the lifespan.
The Laboratory Supervisor I will independently manage multi-study operations, including nonhuman primate study coordination, sample collection and biobanking, immunoassay execution and optimization, regulatory documentation, and laboratory logistics. The role includes coordination with the Division of Veterinary Medicine, external sponsors and collaborators, protocol compliance under IACUC and IBC oversight, and management of biological materials under BSL-2 containment in close coordination with the PI.
The successful candidate will generate publication-quality data, assist in manuscript and grant preparation, and train laboratory personnel in immunological, molecular, and sample processing techniques. Experience with nonhuman primate sample processing and multi-project coordination is preferred. This is a hybrid operations-and-research position suited for candidates seeking to apply organizational and technical expertise in an immunology, infectious disease, neuroscience, and translational research context.
