Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, and ensuring all facilities meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, schematics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and use of tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding tasks, residential painting, and other handyman duties to address facility needs promptly.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, and facility maintenance manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Manage maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and service history.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects with a focus on quality control, safety standards, and timely completion.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding swiftly to internal requests from hotel staff for repairs or maintenance issues.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and upgrades to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within hospitality, manufacturing, or residential environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and use of testing tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for various repair projects.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management.
- Supervising or leadership experience in maintenance teams or projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, mechanical components, and safety standards related to facilities maintenance.
