American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift contract requiring 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele experience and a compact or TN RN license

Work in the Medical Surgical Oncology unit of a hospital setting
-
Patient ratio of 1:7
-
Travelers do not administer chemotherapy
-
Night shift, 4x12 hours (18:30-07:00)
-
Schedule options include 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating to other units as needed
-
Epic charting system experience preferred
-
Active RN license (TN or Compact) required in hand at time of submission
-
AHA BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience required
-
Med/Surg/Tele experience required
-
Previous charge nurse experience preferred
-
BSN required for international candidates
-
Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy required
-
Experience with isolation precautions/PPE required
-
Experience with medication administration including Heparin and PCA required
-
Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Oncology unit
-
Contract clinical staff are expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside patient care duties

Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted

General orientation begins on Sundays with online coursework
-
Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
-
Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start, with willingness to repeat if necessary
