American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/ICU RN for a night shift role requiring 2 years of PCU/stepdown/ICU experience and frequent floating between stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg units.

Stepdown unit position that frequently floats to ICU and MedSurg units
-
21-bed unit
-
Patient ratios vary by unit: Stepdown 1:4-5, ICU 1:2, MedSurg 1:5-6
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
Floating required across stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg units
-
Every-other-weekend (EOW) work required
-
Weekly orientation held every Wednesday
-
Manages non-titrating drips including Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
-
Cares for vascular patients including fem-pop and CEA procedures
-
Manages NSTEMI and post-cardiac catheterization intervention patients
-
Administers IVP Ativan for CIWA protocol (Precedex not used)
-
Provides peritoneal dialysis care
-
Manages stable BiPAP and Heated High Flow oxygen therapy under 80%

Manages home ventilators (Trilogy)
-
Provides wound care and nebulizer treatments
-
Coordinates hemodialysis through the Dialysis Department

Uses Meditech EMR
-
Active SC or compact RN license required
