Job Summary
We’re on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Barista Cashier who loves creating great coffee moments and providing top-notch customer service. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems like Square
- Prepare a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following established recipes and standards.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing at the end of shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, food safety practices, and food preparation standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about menu items and making personalized recommendations.
- Assist with food service tasks such as serving snacks or light food items when needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality And making sure daily tasks are completed.
- Organize weekly orders and the different tasks related to that.
Skills
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Good math skills for handling cash, making change, and retail math calculations.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced café environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic food safety and food handling knowledge to ensure compliance with health regulations.
