Position: Sushi Helper / Kitchen Cook
Overview
Harmony Cuisine 2B1 is dedicating to welcome and serve our guests with respect and heartful treat by offering our Japanese and fusion cuisines. We are looking for professional and reliable personality for day and dinner shifts.
Kitchen staff will be preparing and serving dishes in accordance with food health and safety regulations and restaurant standards. All of these tasks must be performed while working cooperatively with kitchen, floor staff, and assisting Sushi Chef to satisfying guest experience.

Qualifications:
· Previous experience in Japanese restaurant Sushi prep work, Sushi rolls and knowlege of Japanese cuisine cooking in Kitchen preferred.
. Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful busy times.
· Must be able to work as part of team and recognize the importance of each team member's role.
· Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used.
. Knowledge of industry standards on food storage and handling techniques.
. Ability to walk, Sit and stand for long periods of times.
· Good verbal Communication skills with servers to ensure that special requests and food allergy considerations are met.
· Report to the Executive chef and follow his instructions and guidance.
· Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the Executive Chef and GM.
. Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance with Health Department standards.
. Have flexible availability for shifts including holidays, day and nights.
.High school diploma or GED preferred, must be eligible to work in the United States.
.Have a reliable transportation and be on time of shifts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepares a variety of Sushi rolls & specialty Kitchen items following predeterminded recipes and presentations.
· Knowledge of raw bars such as oysters to prepare.
· Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and Kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
. Stock and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line station to assure a smooth service.
·Cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
.Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, sushi station, cutting boards, shelves, grills, fryers, burners, and refrigeration equipment.
.Closes the Kitchen properly and Clean with Assists others in closing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
