SUMMARY
The Road Service Technician’s function is to aid in the inspection, repair, and maintenance of customer’s work trucks. The trucks could include, but not limited to, Utility Line Trucks, Bucket Trucks, Cranes, Lift Gates, Boom Lifts, Welders, Dump Trucks, Plows and more. Our primary service area is Illinois and Missouri with potential travel into Northern Arkansas and Eastern Kansas. As a Road Service Technician, the goal is to maintain 40 hours a week, but there may be times that customer emergencies arise that would establish the need to work and travel above the regularly scheduled work week. This position will travel to the site of the customers truck and provide all services remotely in the field or at the customers location(s).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Diagnose, repair, inspect, maintain, and service equipment including: Utility Line Trucks, Bucket Trucks, Cranes, Lift Gates, Boom Lifts, Trailers, Air Compressors, Welders, Dump Trucks, Plows, Hi-Rail, Winch Trucks, and Scissor Lifts
- Schedule jobs, contact customers, make courtesy calls, provide technical support in person or over the phone, and follow up with calls
- Complete Work Orders, Time Sheets, DOT Forms, Inspections, Dielectric Sheets, and log Drive Time
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company, DOT, OSHA, and ANSI standards
- Regularly read/research parts manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Maintain company records, inventory and company equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Hydraulic and Electrical equipment repair on medium to heavy duty trucks a plus
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Exceptional customer service experience
- Must have own basic work tools
- Stable work history
- Dependable, self-motivated professional
- Excellent work ethics and a POSITIVE attitude
- Ability to provide references of prior employers
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug testing in accordance with DOT
- Ability to pass DOT physical
- Clean driving record
- Have a valid driver’s license, minimum of a class C required
- Company will reimburse for upgrading license to class C if one is not already held
- Basic computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Good communication skills (written, verbal, email) are necessary

Monday – Friday 40 hour per week
Overnight travel 25% - 35%.
Some nights/weekends based on customer emergencies
