Job Description
Datapoint Surveying and Mapping is seeking a Survey Party Chief for their San Antonio office. This is a full-time position that will include benefits, and will primarily be involved in executing land title, civil design, topo, tree, ALTA/ACSM, and boundary surveys.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of survey experience with civil market projects
- 3+ years of survey experience with residential market projects
- 5+ years of experience with total station and survey level instrumentation
- Competency in control networks and level loops
- Competency in construction staking/layout for commercial development
- Thorough knowledge and proficiency with robotic or manual total stations
- Thorough knowledge and proficiency with RTK and VRS GNSS systems
- Working knowledge of survey mathematics and field calculations
- Effective communication, well-organized, and use of sound judgement
- Ability to travel daily and occasionally overnight
Desirable Qualifications
- Prior experience with Trimble Access
- Prior experience with Trimble GNSS and total station equipment
- Prior experience with SX10, SX12, X7, or X9 LiDAR scanning equipment
- Flexible schedule for out of town projects and periods of heavy workload
