We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team to work approximately 20-25 hours per week.
As a Team Member, you play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience for our guests. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food industry, particularly in quick service.
Duties
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Operate Toast POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist with food delivery from kitchen to customers, bussing tables, and managing food presentation.
- Manage cash registers accurately and handle cash transactions efficiently.
- Support team members with food prep, stocking supplies, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations during busy hours.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred but not required; culinary or café experience is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Support other areas of the business as required, such as but not limited to, washing and sanitizing all dishes after use and cleaning the lobby and back of house area as required.
