Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to join our logistics and warehouse team. This role involves operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, and Hi-Lo forklifts, to efficiently handle materials and products within a warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely loading and unloading shipments, managing inventory movement, and supporting warehouse operations with precision and adherence to safety standards. This position plays a vital role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution processes and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklift equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance
- Assist with order picking using various equipment including <PERSON> pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders accurately
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking, location updates, and order processing
- Handle heavy lifting tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to organize storage space efficiently and maintain a clean work environment
- Participate in regular safety training sessions focused on equipment operation, materials handling, and hazard prevention
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks within a warehouse setting
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes, order picking, and warehouse distribution workflows
- Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills

Pay: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour
