Job Overview

Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring special requests are noted and accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions efficiently, handling all sales transactions with accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu items to elevate the dining experience
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure timely service
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Support team members during busy periods by sharing responsibilities such as host/hostess duties or food running
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, ideally with fine dining exposure
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and handling cash transactions
- Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Previous experience in serving or bartending roles that involve upselling and guest engagement
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: $22.90 - $27.58 per hour
