Spring Valley Dairy is a local, family-owned dairy products distribution company in need of a warehouse worker. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), and the hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00pm to 9:30pm, and Sunday and Friday from 9:30am to close (Tuesday and Saturday off).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Unloading product off of delivery trucks
Ensuring proper rotation and organization of product within the warehouse
Checking temperature of warehouse
Ensuring warehouse is neat and clean and in proper condition at the end of each shift
Assisting co-workers on dock and in warehouse
The physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Reaching with hands and arms, frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, withstand road shocks and moderate vibrations
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
Other requirements:
Must speak English well enough to take instructions from supervisor and communicate with fellow employees
Must understand enough math to verify quantities
Able to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, cardboard crusher and drive the company fuel truck
Able to prioritize tasks throughout the day
Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
