Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Ranch Hand this summer from July 1st to October 1st, and become a vital part of maintaining a thriving agricultural operation. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment and farm machinery safely, including tractors, loaders, and other farm equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge
- Support all hay harvesting tasks to promote crop growth and farm productivity
- Handle heavy lifting requirements for supplies, or equipment parts while maintaining safety standards
- Assist other team members in various tasks related to farming operations and land management
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge including equipment repair, welding, and troubleshooting farm machinery
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment safely in agricultural settings
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture practices, greenhouse management, and growing techniques
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance procedures on farm equipment
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and outdoor labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements, inventory management, and record keeping
