What You’ll Do
As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting our hygienists and creating a great experience for our patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Support Patient Care: Assist the hygienist with x-rays, polishing, fluoride applications, patient education, and other aspects of hygiene care.
- Create a Great Patient Experience: Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for throughout their visit.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly: Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked hygiene room.
- Prepare Instruments: Properly clean, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments with patient safety as a top priority.
- Keep Records Accurate: Maintain thorough and accurate patient charts and records.
- Communicate & Collaborate: Work closely with patients, hygienists, and the rest of the dental team to keep communication clear and care running smoothly.

Previous dental assisting or hygiene assisting experience is preferred, but not required. A current Washington Dental Assisting License and Healthcare CPR certification are required.
