Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible and hard working Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. Compensation includes hourly wage, tips, health insurance for 30+ hours, life insurance, and shift meal.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation, ensuring portion control and safety
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service establishment is preferred.
- Proven background in the food industry with hands-on culinary experience, particularly in food preparation and cooking.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. We will train.
