Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely while adhering to proper ergonomic practices
- Maintain kitchen sanitation standards through regular cleaning of workstations, floors, and equipment
- Assist in food handling activities during busy service periods, ensuring proper storage and hygiene practices are followed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and basic utensils safely and effectively
