Parts Manager — McLaren Scottsdale

Position Summary
McLaren Scottsdale is seeking an experienced, highly organized Parts Manager to lead all aspects of our parts department. This position is responsible for maintaining an efficient, profitable, and customer-focused parts operation supporting our service department, technicians, wholesale customers, and retail clients.
The ideal candidate has strong automotive parts experience, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering an exceptional level of service consistent with the McLaren brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the parts department.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing obsolete and excess inventory.
- Order, receive, inspect, and properly store automotive parts and accessories.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and conduct regular physical inventory counts.
- Monitor special orders and ensure parts are available when needed for scheduled repairs.
- Work closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure timely parts availability and efficient repair turnaround.
- Coordinate with McLaren Automotive and approved parts suppliers regarding availability, pricing, backorders, and special-order items.
- Manage parts pricing, gross profit margins, and departmental profitability.
- Process warranty parts and ensure proper documentation and return procedures.
- Manage parts cores, returns, credits, and defective parts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Assist with sourcing hard-to-find parts when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts department.
- Ensure all parts are properly labeled, stored, and accounted for.
- Monitor and resolve parts-related issues that may delay customer repairs.
- Train, supervise, and hold parts department personnel accountable for performance and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Support the dealership's commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience.

The Parts Manager will be expected to effectively manage:
- Parts department gross profit
- Inventory turnover and inventory aging
- Fill rate and parts availability

Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of automotive parts experience, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Previous parts management or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with dealership parts and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of automotive parts identification and ordering.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, service advisors, customers, vendors, and management.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Luxury, exotic, European, or high-performance automotive experience is highly preferred.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of the department and understands that a great parts operation is critical to a great service department. You should be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable solving problems when parts are unavailable, delayed, or difficult to source.
Experience with McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, or other high-line/exotic brands is a significant plus.
