As an LPN for Neurology, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will directly support the practices of two colorectal surgeons while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and the educational resources offered throughout the Cleveland Clinic system.
A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Provide professional nursing care to patients.
Administer medication.
Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
Follow Code Blue protocol.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate of Accredited LPN program
Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Knowledge of infection control practices
Computer literacy
