Are you a Certified Veterinary Technician who wants to build specialized skills outside of traditional general practice or emergency medicine?
Animal Therapy Center is seeking a dependable and compassionate Pennsylvania CVT to join our veterinary rehabilitation team. This position is a strong opportunity for a newer CVT or an experienced general-practice technician who is interested in learning rehabilitation and long-term mobility care.
About the Position
Our patients visit us for post-surgical recovery, arthritis management, weakness, neurological conditions, senior mobility support, physical conditioning and other challenges affecting movement and quality of life.
Rehabilitation allows technicians to spend focused time with patients, follow their progress over multiple visits and build lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
You will work alongside our rehabilitation veterinarian and therapy team while learning how to safely guide patients through individualized treatment programs.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
- Assist with veterinary rehabilitation and conditioning appointments
- Operate underwater treadmills and other rehabilitation equipment
- Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises
- Perform or assist with treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Assist with laser therapy and other rehabilitation modalities
- Safely handle dogs with different sizes, temperaments and mobility limitations
- Help support senior, nervous, painful, weak and post-surgical patients
- Monitor patient comfort, fatigue, movement and response to treatment
- Accurately document appointment notes and patient progress
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners
- Prepare, clean and maintain equipment and areas
- Help appointments remain safe, organized and on schedule
- General clinic responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Certified Veterinary Technician credential
- Graduate of an approved veterinary technology program
- Strong animal-handling and patient-safety skills
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Professional communication with clients and coworkers
- Ability to follow veterinary treatment plans and safety procedures
- Willingness to learn specialized rehabilitation techniques
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
- Ability to safely lift, support and assist mobility-limited patients with appropriate equipment and team assistance
Experience
Veterinary rehabilitation experience is welcomed but is not required.

Schedule
Our clinic operates Tuesday through Saturday by appointments
Full-time availability is preferred although qualified part-time applicants may be considered. Availability may include:
- Weekday daytime hours
- Thursday evening hours
- Regular or rotating Saturday coverage
The final schedule will be based on clinic needs and discussed during the interview process.
There are no overnight shifts, emergency shifts or on-call responsibilities.
Compensation
$19.00–$20.00 per hour based on veterinary experience, availability and overall qualifications.
