American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg (Tele) night shift position in Athens, TX, requiring Epic experience and 2 years of nursing experience.

Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a community hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management (no titration), respiratory care, non-invasive airway management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
-
Skills required include cardiac monitoring and emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, medication management, and isolation precautions/PPE

Epic EMR experience required

Active TX RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris

Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

No RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation; no more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved for the contract

All RTO requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
