About the Job:
We are seeking an innovative hands on Automation Engineer to maintain automated systems across our manufacturing floor. You will lead projects to automate part extraction, secondary assembly, vision inspection, and packaging. Your work will directly reduce cycle times, eliminate scrap, and improve operator safety in our manufacturing areas. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, process-minded, and time-efficient.
Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (plus weekends and overtime as needed)
Minimum Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position or relevant work experience
- High level of initiative and self-motivation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Preferred, but not required: Machinery experience
- Preferred, but not required: Vision Systems proficiency
- Preferred, but not required: PLC Programming experience
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- 20/20 vision (with or without correction)
- Ability to use hands 100% of the work day
- Ability to stand and walk 100% of the work day
- Ability to hear and speak 100% of the work day
- Ability to handle 50 pounds when necessary
- Ability to work in shop environment – continual exposure to potentially hazardous machines and equipment, loud noises, fumes, dust, mist, oils, and coolant
Description of Duties:
- Prepare manufacturing for startup and perform assembly equipment setup changes as needed.
- Monitor and administer Preventative Maintenance Program for automated assembly equipment.
- Monitor operation of automated assembly equipment.
- Monitor and replenish automated assembly equipment spare parts.
- Coordinate automated assembly equipment replacement.
- Coordinate and prioritize automated assembly equipment repairs per Work Requisition.
- Maintain automated assembly equipment to ensure it is meeting production standards.
- Interact and monitor outside service vendors.
- Coordinate, install, and perform initial startup of new automated assembly equipment.
- Perform maintenance technician duties when required.
- Ensure automated assembly equipment repairs and builds are performed on time.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings.
- Other duties as directed by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $48.00 per hour
