Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide friendly, attentive service to enhance the guest experience
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions with precision, process payments, and give accurate change using cash handling best practices
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as food handling and basic food safety procedures to support café operations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; café or retail sales experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
