Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Waitress / Cashier to join our vibrant hospitality team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash register operations, process payments accurately, and give correct change
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, and bussing tables as needed to support smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, ensure proper sanitation practices, and adhere to food safety regulations
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest bookings and seating arrangements
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub exposure
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; basic math skills for cash handling
- Strong customer service skills with a welcoming attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles is highly desirable
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations including sales techniques like upselling and guest engagement
