Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, CSW, ACMHC, AMFT)

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and caring individual who can both complete the requirements and add to Journey's culture of caring and understanding.
The position is for a Therapist in a residential substance abuse center. The position involves providing therapeutic services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues.
Job Duties:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues.
Diagnose co-occurring disorders and develop treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Individual and Group Therapy: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy to clients, addressing both substance abuse and mental health concerns.
Lead group therapy sessions, educational workshops, fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment.
- Treatment Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on clients' progress.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use issues.
Collaborate with other professionals in managing crises effectively.
- Education and Support: Educate clients on the impact of substance use on mental health and vice versa.
Offer support and psychoeducation to clients' families to enhance the overall treatment process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessments.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when working with diverse populations, recognizing and respecting individual differences.
Qualifications:
- Education:A master's or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Licensure: Obtain and maintain licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, Psychologist).
- We are also open to hiring professionals working toward full licensure such as CSW, ACMHC, MFT, etc. Supervision will be provided.
- Specialized Training: Specialized training or certification in addiction counseling or substance abuse treatment is often preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in mental health therapy, with a focus on substance abuse treatment.
Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities for both mental health and substance use disorders.
- Clinical Skills: Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Preferred familiarity with substance use disorders
Ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for building rapport with clients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy and Compassion :A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with individuals facing substance use and mental health challenges.
- Ethics and Confidentiality: Adherence to ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Continuing Education: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about advancements in the field of mental health and substance abuse treatment.
- Flexibility: Ability to adapt to the evolving needs of clients and the organization.
- Duties and responsibilities may be subject to change based on organizational needs and the qualifications of the individual hired.

Pay: Starting at $70,000 for those pursuing full licensure
Lead therapist pay at $80,000 for fully licensed LCSWs, LMFTs, CMHCs, or the equivalent with two years post full licensure experience and ability to supervise.
Schedule:
This position is for a day shift that has flexible hours. It can be 4 or 5 days a week..
