Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with preschool-aged children. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters learning and growth. You will lead classroom activities, implement educational programs, and support the individual needs of each child, including those with IEPs.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote childhood development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address any concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers and staff in the classroom.
- Utilize learning technology effectively to enhance educational experiences.
- Address behavioral health issues with appropriate strategies and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, attendance, and behavior.
- Promote positive social interactions among children through structured activities.
Requirements
- CDA in Infant Toddler or related field preferred.
- Experience working with toddler-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and ability to support children with special needs.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood education.
