We're looking for multiple sales associates to join our new and growing team! State Street Trading Post is a curated collective of vintage vendors, makers and merchants, set to open in September 2026.
We are seeking vintage-loving sales associates to provide customer service, run the checkout, and help us maintain a fun and engaging shopping environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and offer assistance in navigating the store.
- Assist customers in fitting rooms, tend to go-backs.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately and log items correctly in the system.
- Dusting and light tidying of vendor spaces.
- Assisting vendors in printing labels, providing tags, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and resolving concerns promptly
- Support management in opening and closing duties
- Handle cashiering duties with accuracy
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for vintage furniture and clothing is a plus!
- Familiarity with basic customer service expectations
- Multilingual skills are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike
- Organizational skills help manage stock levels and maintain an inviting store environment
- Knowledge of interior design and/or merchandising is beneficial but not necessary.
- Experience with POS systems, retail math, and merchandising will support your success in this role
