Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Server/Bartender/Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the food service industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while considering guest preferences.
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure smooth communication regarding guest needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed.
- Provide assistance during peak hours to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage with guests positively.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as well as experience in cash handling procedures.
- A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a restaurant setting is essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
